Many women across the globe suffer from complications such as pain, discomfort, or health problems due to having large, heavy breasts. If you're contemplating, "Should I get a breast reduction?", here are 4 signs that a breast reduction may be right for you.

1. Your breasts are a pain in the neck.

The number one sign that your breasts are weighing you down is if you suffer from consistent back pain, neck pain, and shoulder pain. Carrying the weight of significantly large breasts can place a lot of unnecessary stress on anyone's body. This is especially true when it comes to the burden on the muscles in the neck. If you experience unwarranted back, neck, and shoulder pain, you may consider breast reduction surgery as these pains will most likely worsen with time.

2. Your breasts are weighing you down and causing poor posture.

You might need to consider a breast reduction if the size of your breasts affects your body posture. Poor posture can signal that your boobs might be too large and/or heavy for your body as the heaviness can cause you to slouch or stoop forward. Poor posture is strongly correlated to many health and even psychological issues.

3. Your breasts make shopping for clothes difficult.

Oftentimes, women with larger breasts have a difficult time finding bras and clothing that fit properly. Bra sizes larger than DD can be very difficult to find, as some stores do not even offer sizes larger than a DDD. If your bra has a tendency to leave marks or indentations on your shoulders, that's a sign that your bra might be too small. It is important that your bra has the proper cup size because wearing bras that are too small can sometimes worsen problems related to your breast size.

4. Your breasts make it difficult to exercise.

Another sign that your boobs may be too big is if you have a difficult time exercising and/or breathing because of them. According to a study published in the  Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport stated that the larger a woman's breasts are, the less physical activity they typically get, especially "vigorous" exercise. Researchers did encourage women with larger boobs to go the water route for exercise because water can slow the downward movement of breasts.
